About

Niek Eijsbouts is creative director & co-founder
of HIguita and Bosuitjes is his anagram.

Niek Eijsbouts (Geldrop, 1983) is creative director of Higuita and has a daily urge to make noisy rides on his motorbike. A '98 BMW R1100GS built into a scrambler. He also likes to show off on Instagram with his egg frying skills.

After his internship at Saatchi & Saatchi in 2006, Niek teams up with art-director Gijs van den Berg. In their rookie years, they rock together at agencies like Doorn&Roos and Havas, before taking seat at the altar of KesselsKramer for the biggest chunk of their collaboration.

But being born and raised in a family of brewers, it was destined that Niek would once continue his career in Belgium. Early 2013 he packs his life in the biggest rental van he's allowed to drive and takes the route down south. He halts at Happiness Brussels to lead the agency as creative director. For 3 years, he and his international crew develop campaigns for brands such as 2dehands, Toyota, Eristoff and the Association of Communication Companies, leading to numerous creative awards and recognition.

Then it turns summer in 2015. His favorite Dutch football club becomes league champion and the number of craft beers in Holland peaks at an all-time high. The perfect moment to move back to his home turf. Niek goes on a mission to save the world from boring advertising at SuperHeroes AMS | NYC for global clients like LG, MTV, ING, Quinny and other brands that don't necessarily rhyme with ee. This all leads up to the last months of 2020 when one of his greatest desires is about to see the light of day. He starts his own brand communications shop with his beloved partners Tom, Martijn and Jorn. They name it: Higuita. Rumor has it that sooner rather than later they will obtain world domination in a particular market which is yet unknown and unexplored.

If you have never met Niek, you are most likely also unaware of his enormous collection of illegally obtained airline safety cards and his ability to write an amazing bio in third person.
